My baby crawled around in a playpen while I was working 12-hour shifts cleaning the floors, as well as removing the wallpaper. Ha! I took a break from the old furniture in order to spend some quality time with my family. It was exactly what I was looking for at the time. However after a few months without a phone, it began to ring. People contacted me asking to assist them in interior decor and home renovations. A majority of these were people who had been through my property during open houses for furniture! I started taking on some customers one by one working at my own pace but it didn't take long before I had multiple accounts and was running the complete business of home remodeling. There is a good chance that I'd have laughed had somebody had informed me that my venture was going to be the basis for an upcoming television show in the DIY Network. It's true that I laugh when I think about it.
