Eve was born to Trevor Eve (actor) and Sharon Maughan, a writer. Jack and George were her two younger brothers. Her birthplace was in raised in England and Los Angeles. She went to Bedales School before taking her A Levels at Westminster School London. During her time off, she spent time at Beverly Hills Playhouse. Then she attended St Catherine's College Oxford, she was a student of English. The student actress was in productions An Ideal Husband Animal Crackers, Scenes from an Execution (which was staged to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival), and The Colour of Justice while at Oxford. Eve was also a part of BBC dramas like The Rotters Club Poirot & Hawking and 2004's film Stage Beauty. Eve had a prominent role in two movies from the year 2006, Starter for 10 & Big Nothing. Both she along with Co-Star Simon Pegg used American accents. The actress spent much of the first half of 2006 in India making the drama mini-series The Losing Gemma which focused on backpackers. Eve is the lead character in Trevor Nunn's plays. In 2006, she performed in Rock n Roll a new production created by Tom Stoppard at the Royal Court Theatre and then reprised her part in 2007's Broadway transfer. The show was praised with a nomination for most outstanding supporting actress in the Whatsonstage.com Theatregoers Choice Awards. The actress played Roxane in the Chichester Festival Theatre. She was born to an Indo-British dad of British descent Anthony Mitra, and an Irish-born mother Nora Downey. English actress Guyan Mitra is one of the three siblings, including an older sister Jason Mitra. The actress has a younger brother who is an accomplished travel writer, whose writings were published in Lonely Planet magazine and The Sunday Times.
